5 Spooky Liquor Brands to try this Halloween

Halloween night is only a few hours away. Right about now you’re looking for some great Halloween drink recipes, food ideas, and party nick knacks. Well, we’ve been sharing drink ideas all week, so if you missed out check out our recent posts. What we wanted to highlight now though are 5 cool liquor brands that are pretty much made for this time of year. These brands have themes that go perfectly with Halloween, so if you’re looking for a little added “horror” in your party tonight, try grabbing one of these.

Blavod

Blavod Vodka: This stuff’s not bad. In fact, we did a review on it a couple years back. Its not everywhere, but if its in your store you can’t miss it, its usually the ONLY black vodka on the shelf. Nothing special, but it comes in handy this time of year when you’re trying to make particularly festive drinks.

Crystal Head Vodka: This one’s been around a few years and gets a lot of attention for the cool skull shaped bottle it comes in. Is the vodka any good? Check out the review we did and see what we thought. It’s owned by Ghostbuster himself, Dan Akroyd, and that along with its awesome bottle usually gets it selling. One things for sure, if you hate it, at least you’ve got a cool conversation piece.

vampyreVampyre Vodka: This one’s another unknown for us. We’ve never tried it, but we see it on the shelf from time to time. There website has an interesting video ad with two sexy female vampires sucking on a victim. Again, this one sells mostly because of it’s gimmick, but from what I’ve heard it’s a decent brand. It comes in both a clear vodka, and a blood vodka, which just has red color added.

Jekyll and Hyde Liqueurs: I’m not even sure if this is still around, their website is pretty bland with a graphic but no clickable links. It came out originally during my liquor store days and was a interesting gimmick. Two liqueurs, sold together to make a drink or shot. One (Jekyll) was a sweet liqueur, berry flavored, while the other (hyde) was a Jager like herbal drink. It didn’t really catch on in my neck of the woods, and i’ll assume not anywhere else in the U.S. Cool bottle and theme though, and that alone gets it sold this time of year. If you can find some, give it a try.

Red Rum is a rum brand distilled from Caribbean sugar cane and infused with natural mango, pineapple, coconut, and cherry flavors. Nothing scary about that, actually sounds pretty delicious. But tell your guests its blood and you might just find a new breed of vampires forming in your circle of friends.

Well, that’s I’ll I’ve got. Hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween. Cheers!
