Manhattan

Continuing our love of Bourbon Heritage Month, we’re going with a classic cocktail, revived with a modern recipe and a damn good bourbon. It features Basil Hayden’s bourbon and the recipe comes to us all the way from Louisville, KY a place that I think we can trust for good drinks. Check it out below and give it a try this weekend, or if you’re impatient make one tonight.

Basil Hayden’s® New York’s Manhattan [ Created by Sean Thibodeaux, Louisville, KY ]

  • 2 parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon
  • 1 part Sweet Vermouth
  • 1/2 tsp. Pomegranate Molasses
  • 2 dashes Angostura® Bitters
  • 1 dash Peychaud’s Bitters
  • Orange Peel

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with an orange twist, making sure to express the oils.
