Southern Buck

September is Bourbon Heritage Month and to celebrate we’ll be reviewing a few excellent bourbons and sharing some one of kind cocktails featuring bourbon as well. We’re starting off this week with the Southern Buck cocktail. It uses Wild Turkey Rare Breed and was created in honor of Jimmy Russell’s 60th anniversary as Wild Turkey Master Distiller. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Russell at this years Tales of the Cocktail event in New Orleans to help celebrate his amazing milestone. Help us celebrate by making one of these at home.

Southern Buck By Naren Young [Pictured Above]

  • 1 1/2 oz. Wild Turkey® Rare Breed
  • 1/2 oz. peach liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • Ginger beer

Build on cubed ice and top with ginger beer. Stir. Add a straw and garnish with a large mint sprig.

Hope you enjoy this one.

Cheers
