551347_548839205147060_726633112_nThe weekend is finally here! It’s Friday, and coincidentally (perhaps not), it’s also National Margarita Day. So go out, throw back a few, and remember celebrate responsibly.  Here’s a simple and delicious margarita recipe for you to try at home, or ask for at the bar tonight; the Smokin Margarita courtesy of Don Julio.

Smokin’ Margarita

  • 1/2 oz  Tequila Don Julio Reposado
  • 3/4 oz  Agave nectar
  • 1/2 oz  Fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz  Fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1 whole fresh jalapeño

Thinly slice the jalapeno and muddle it in a shaker. Combine Tequila Don Julio Reposado, agave nectar, orange juice and lime juice into the shaker with the muddled jalapeno and ice. Shake well and strain over ice into a rocks glass.
