Cocktail of The Week: Dark Continent

…..Happy New Year. Did you’re night go off with the bang? Looking back on so many New Years celebrations, I can remember very few that didn’t lead to a rough morning the next day. If you’re like I am you’re looking for something to get you through the morning and maybe even the work week while still giving you a bit of a buzz to ease off the hangover. Here’s a simple and delicious coffee cocktail that does just that featuring Amarula; an African cream liqueur made from the Marula trees of South Africa.

Dark Continent

  • 2 oz Amarula Cream (African Cream Liqueur)
  • Hot Coffee
  • Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate shavings

Pour your two oz of Amarula in into a coffee mug and fill with coffee. Simple as that. Top with whip cream followed by sprinkled bits of shavings.
