IMG_4209It’s that time of year again. You’re either reflecting back on the year that was anxiously awaiting its end and a time for new beginnings, or you had a blast in 2013 and can only imagine whats to come. See how optimism works? Its NYE and hopefully you’ve got your plans in order by now, but we won’t judge you if you don’t, its ONLY the last night of the entire year.

So I was playing in the kitchen with some champagne cocktails and then it hit me! Last month we received some awesome craft cocktail and soda mixers from the Fruitations brand. We wanted to use it during our holiday roundup, but to be honest it gets hectic around here juggling 101, our 9-5 it just got put to the side. Then I thought, what a perfect way to bring in the new year; Craft Champagne cocktails. Remember, sometimes simpler is better, and a midst all that socializing and drinking and eating the countdown can creep up on us. You DONT want to be that guy/girl who went looking to make a drink and missed the ball drop. With Fruitations, you can have a simple drink that tastes amazing.

We were first introduced to Frutations at Tales of the Cocktail this year, and were fortuNATE enough to try it there. They reached out to us again right before the holidays and we were lucky enough to try each of their flavors: Tangerine, Cranberry and Grapefruit. One word? Delicious. Check out our simple NYE cocktail featuring fruitations below, and look out for new cocktails throughout the year using the brand.

Fruitations Sparkler

  • 3/4 oz Fruitations Mixer
  • Champagne

Take a champagne flute, and add in your mixer. Then, fill your flute to the top with Champagne. Simple as that.

Cheers and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
