Would You Buy Kahfua? (Fake Kahlua)

Fake Kahlua
Kahfua Brand Liquor from Brooklyn, NY based Happy Hearts Wine LLC. Would you buy it?

Fake Kahlua? Now I’ve seen it all. Growing up in the midwest, if you were ever caught wearing or using something fake, your social life pretty much halted for the school year. Still, people walked around with fake Jordans, fake Polo shirts, and wearing fake cologne brands. I mean, who can tell the little horse on Polo has one leg fatter than the rest? I can! But when it comes to counterfeit liquor does it bother you?

It definitely bothers the Absolut Co, the parent company of Kahlua. They’ve sent cease and desist letters to Brooklyn based Happy Hearts Wine LLC who make Kahfua. As you can see from the packaging it’s a blatant rip off of the look and graphics with only a slight change in the spelling of the word.

So here’s a test, if it looks like a duck, and tastes like a duck, and maybe even costs the same price as the other duck, are you going to drink that duck? Times are tough, if it’s cheaper you might just be grabbing a bottle.

Cheers,
