Hopefully hump day went over for everyone without too much struggle, and we’re cruising into the weekend with Friday being less then 24 hours away. If you didn’t know, September 19th is National Talk like a Pirate Day, and while we won’t necessarily be speaking like one all day, we plan on drinking like one. What says pirate more then a bottle of spiced rum? Below we’ve highlighted a few of our favorite spiced rum recipes from around the web and shared them with you all so that you can drink like a pirate, and who knows, after enough drinks you’ll probably start talking like one too.
Kraken The Perfect Storm
- 1 Part Kraken Spiced Rum
- 2 Parts Ginger Beer
Pour Kraken into a rocks glass filled with ice, then top with ginger beer.
Sailr Jerry IronSide
- 2 parts Sailor Jerry
- Fill with Ting / grapefruit soda
- 2 lime wedges
Build in a highball glass over cubed ice & squeeze in lime wedges
- 1.5 oz.oz. Captain Morgan® Original Spiced Rum (25 oz.oz. per bottle)
- 2 oz.oz. pineapple juice
- 0.25 oz.oz. triple sec
- Lemon & lime wedge
Add Captain Morgan® Original Spiced Rum, triple sec, and pineapple juice into tall ice-filled glass and stir well. Garnish with lemon & lime wedge.
