Midnight-Zest

Tonight’s the big night, the night where we proclaim to leave all things in the past and look forward to a bright future. You could start the new year the same way you always have, with a boring toast of champagne, or you could sip something a bit different this time. NYE cocktails make everything more fun, and this one’s got a great Gin we discovered early this year, and it has plenty of flavor featuring fresh lemon juice and botanical flavors like blueberry and blackberry. Mix this one up tonight for you and a few friends or loved ones and make it count.

Midnight Zest

  • 2 parts Brockmans Gin
  • 1 part Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 part Sugar syrup (created by mixing equal parts sugar and water until completely dissolved. Speed the process with hot water and then cool the syrup
  • Top with Champagne, Prosecco or good quality English sparkling wine

Shake the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup with cubed ice. Strain into a champagne flute and top with the sparkling wine. Garnish with a twist of lemon zest.
