Suntory’s Cocktail Festa 2012

……..In honor of the evolving Japanese cocktail culture, bartenders from around the world will be invited to share the latest and greatest in cocktail making at the Tokyo International Forum (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on Friday October 19th and 20th for Suntory’s Cocktail Fest 2012. There you’ll be able to meet with cocktail gurus, participate educational seminars, partake in tasting rooms, and sample more than 50 different cocktails created by some of the best bartenders from around the world. Now I know it may be a bit out of the way for us here in North America, but if you have the opportunity make sure to show some support to the two US Ambassadors representing us, Neyah White and Gardner Dunn. Neyah hails from San Francisco and, and Garden from New York. Hailing from opposite ends of our beautiful country, the two will be showcasing cocktails that bring the East and West coasts to life using spirits not yet popular in the Japanese market, specifically Tequila (Neya) and Canadian whisky (Gardner). The Suntory Cocktail Fest not only will recognize Suntory’s dedication to bringing the Japanese cocktail culture up a notch, but also hosts the Suntory Cocktail award, Japans largest cocktail competition for bartenders since 1994.
