Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon is the latest addition to the Knob Creek portfolio and was made in honor of Booker Noe, the founder of the brand. Fans of the Knob can be assured it’s made using the same big and full flavor Knob Creek is known for, but with the addition of hints of maple and a touch of smoke to create something unique and flavorful. Bourbon snobs will probably be a bit worried, and maybe even upset. Flavored spirits are generally looked down upon by serious drinkers, and flavored whiskies are despised even more. But, despite the “expert” opinions, the sales say otherwise. Maple, Honey, and Cherry flavored whiskies are doing excellent in the market, and the folks over at Knob Creek have decided it was time to get a slice of that pie.

“Knob Creek® Smoked Maple Bourbon is inspired by my dad’s passion for innovation,” said Fred Noe, seventh-generation Beam Master Distiller and 2013 Bourbon Hall of Fame Inductee. “In addition to his love for crafting and distilling quality bourbon, he also enjoyed smoking meats in the smokehouse at his home and even crafting his own maple syrup from the sugar maples on the family property in Bardstown. Smoked Maple brings these three flavors of smoke, maple and bourbon together to honor Booker’s legacy and his quest for big flavor.”

Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon comes in at 90 proof, and is suggested to be enjoyed either neat or with an ice cube or two. In honor of it’s release, Knob Creek is showing off their bourbon and its big flavorful flexibility with the help of Chef Michael Symon. We landed Chef Symons one of a kind cocktail recipe and are sharing it with our readers. Check it out below.
