…..It’s pretty hot out there. But with the weekend just hours away it’s a good time to cool off with some punch…for adults. Nothing says summer like a good punch and some coconut rum. Here’s a fun recipe to try courtesy of our friends at Malibu rum company. Cheers to the weekend.

Paradise Punch

  • 3 parts   Malibu
  • 2 parts   Apple Juice
  • 4 parts  Chilled Earl Grey Tea
  • 1 part  Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ part  Simple Syrup
  • Fresh Raspberries

Muddle the raspberries with Gomme and then add the rest of the ingredients. Chill by stirring on ice and garnish with mint and citrus wheels.

After a short vacation to the Bahamas, I can’t help but still be in my “beach bum” mode. With that said, I thought it would be the perfect time to share the Beach Bum cocktail I occasionally like to pour up. It was provided to me by Grey Goose a while back and I’ve been pouring it up every since. Always gets me into that vacation state of mind. It features the fruitiness of pear, the tart of lime juice, and the bite of mint all of which are perfect reminders of Summer bliss. If you haven’t been able to get away yet, let a few of these put your mind in a place your body cant yet go.

…..Hope Everyone had a productive and filling Turkey Day. This week we’re sticking with the flavors of fall with this tasty drink featuring Veeve Acai liqueur called the Adam & Veev Cocktail. This one works well this time of year with distinct flavors of apple but can double as a great summer cool off drink as well. Enjoy

Adam & Veeve Cocktail

  • 3/4 oz AppleJack Brandy
  • 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 oz Apple Juice
  • 3/4 oz Simple Syrup

Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an apple slice or sprig of mint.

This weeks return of cocktail of the week comes with one of my favorite fruity summer drinks to sip on. Great choice for get together as well for relaxing on a summer afternoon and with summer almost over, this would be a great time to take advantage of it. This recipe is actually my adaptation of a recipe courtesy of one of Hawaii’s hottest mixologists, Amie Fujiwara. I personally like a bit stronger taste in my drinks, feel free to use my version, the original, or make it to YOUR taste.

Afternoon Delight:
2 oz Absolut Mandarin (Original recipe calls for 1 1/2 oz)
1 oz Passion Fruit
1 oz Cranberry
1/2 oz Sweet n Sour (Original recipe calls for 1 oz)
1 tsp Passion Fruit concentrate
2 slices of Lime
3 Slices of Orange
Splash of Seven up

Muddle two slices of orange and the two slices of lime in a mixing glass. Then add your ingredients; vodka, juices, sour mix and concentrate. Shake and then pour into a either a Martini glass or a Collins glass, your choice. Top off with your 7 up and garnish with your last slice of orange. Enjoy.
