Santa’s Sleigh Cocktail

How was everyone’s Turkey day? Hopefully fun, filling, and without any major altercations. With one holiday out of the way, it’s time to prepare for the next. Shifting gears to Christmas, we found the perfect festive cocktail to share this week as our cocktail of the week. If you’re a fan of sweet dessert cocktails this one is for you. If you like eggnog this one is even MORE perfect for you. I personally keep a fresh carton of eggnog in in the fridge usually starting in October. My family has been preparing eggnog around the holidays for as far back as I can remember, so it’s only right that I keep it going. Throughout the month you’ll see several eggnog recipes, and variations so stay tuned. In the meantime, give this one a try.

Santa’s Sleigh

  • White sugar crystals, preferably coarse
  • 2 cups store-bought eggnog, chilled
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 4 cinnamon stick

Dampen the rims of 4 martini glasses and then line the rims with sugar crystals. Combine eggnog, brandy, amaretto, nutmeg, and ice cream in a blender; process until smooth. Pour mixture into martini glasses and garnish each glass with a whole cinnamon stick.
