We wrapped up days two and three at Tales, and even though wasn’t our first rodeo, we started to feel the effects of all day and all night boozing. We’re not ashamed to say that our bodies started breaking down, so much so that we’re several days writing this recap. Honestly though, I don’t know how we thought we would successfully drink all day, and party all night with our peers AND get up early enough to recap it for our readers. That being said, here are some photo highlights of how days two and three went down.
Blood Mary Bar: 8:30 am, yes, thats how early the drinking madness starts. We’re not big blood mary fans, and actually we usually kickstart our day with adult coffees, but this guy was too talented to pass up.
Midori’s Stairway to Melon Tasting Room: What’s not to love about Midori? Some exciting mixes went on in here, but surprisingly (or maybe not), the best tasting drink was the simplest, Midori and craft ginger ale.
Angostura Pool Party: It was hot, the drinks were cold, and we were on the rooftop looking over the city.
Leblon Caipirinha Truck: The food truck craze has taken on a life of it’s own. What’s next? LIQUOR TRUCKS!! Just kidding. I would certainly be the first to get a business license/permit if this were possible but instead we’ll have to settle for events like this. Leblon served frozen drinks curbside at the Hotel Monteleone.
Jacob’s Ghost Midnight Ghost Bar: Yes at midnight we were served white whiskey, from the ghost of Jacob Beam Himself! A bit spooky I guess. Even spookier was the fact that he showed up 15 minutes late, and didn’t even apologize!
That’s it for now. Keep checking back for full coverage of several of the events that took place throughout the week.
Cheers!
