Late last week we shared our review of Chila Orchata Cinnamon Cream Rum. To date it’s been one of our favorite new brands. Since then we’ve been playing with Chila finding different recipes to use it in. I could probably just continue chugging this stuff straight out of the bottle, but I suppose I should try it in at least one cocktail. So here’s one we picked… I’m not going to lie, I was thinking of ideas for what I wanted to mix this with, and then I saw this recipe on their website and got pretty thirsty. I’m what you call a visual eater/drinker. We made these last night, and it’s just as we expected. It’s sweet, it’s creamy, and really no matter how you look at it, it’s just a boozy milkshake for adults. Why should our kids have all the fun? Here’s the recipe. Let us know what you think:
Chila Brandy Punch
- 3/4 ounce Chila ‘Orchata
- 3/4 ounce brandy
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- dash of nutmeg
Combine ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth. Serve with an extra dash of nutmeg.
