Sip On This: Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye Sazerac

This week we’re sipping one of my favorite whiskey cocktails, the sazerac. A few months back we had the chance to review Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, one of their newer expressions, and so we decided to use it this week to this to make this classic. The Jack Daniel’s Sazerac is a very whiskey forward drink with a great absinthe finish so if you haven’t had one before, here’s a great time to give it a try.

Cheers!

Directions: Rinse the glass with the absinthe, add crushed ice and set it aside. Fill a cocktail mixing glass half way with cubed ice. Add all ingredients and stir for 10 seconds. Discard the ice and any excess absinthe from the prepared glass. Strain the liquid into the glass. Add the lemon peel to garnish
