National Margarita day is coming up this weekend, and in case you haven’t noticed, we love to celebrate alcoholidays around here. To help you celebrate at home, we’re sharing a couple recipes from Olmeca Altos Tequila. We first tasted Olmeca this past year at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, and have been fans ever since. Margaritas are a staple when it comes to mixing up a cocktail with tequila and Olmeca Altos has developed two recipes below for you to serve while celebrating National Margarita Day, incorporating both the Olmeca Altos Plata and Reposado flavors.
Jasmine Tea Margarita
- 2 parts Olmeca Altos Reposado
- 1 part lime juice
- ½ part agave syrup
- 4 parts jasmine tea
Build up all ingredients over ice. Stir in chilled glass.
Tommy’s Margarita
- 2 parts Olmeca Altos Plata
- 1 part fresh squeezed lime juice
- ½ part agave nectar
Shake ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass. Serve on the rocks.
Cheers!
