We were fortunate to attend the annual William Grant & Sons portfolio party last month in New Orleans. There they celebrated Charles H. Baker Jr., a world-traveler and author of The Gentlemen’s Companion. More than 1,000 spirits professionals, mixologists, and enthusiasts were in attendance as homage was paid to Baker, an inspiration to many cocktailians. This years event borrowed its inspiration from Baker’s stories he shared, and epic parties he threw. As you could imagine, the drinks were exotic and amazing.
