I know what I’m drinking this weekend. It’s a SXSW inspired cocktail sent to us by Sauza this past week and it was so good I wanted to share it with you all. If you don’t know what SXSW is, it’s a gathering of the who’s who in film and music with a host of events in both categories that’s been taking place for almost 3 decades now in Austin, Texas. It’s on my bucket list of events to attend, hopefully we’ll be there in 2016. But in the meantime we can drink like we’re there, and after enough of these we won’t know the difference. Enjoy
Silicon Hills
- 2 parts of Sauza® Blue Reposado 100% Agave Tequila
- 1 part DeKuyper® Apricot Brandy
- 6 parts Apricot Nectar
- 2 parts Orange Juice
- 1 Orange cut into wedge (for garnish)
Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive bowl or container you can freeze. Place in the freezer for at least two hours or until it is softly frozen. Remove from freezer and spoon into blender and blend until smooth. Serve garnished with an orange slice. If you like, rim your glass with sugar/salt. Salud!
