Did you know that the taxes on spirits are significantly higher than the taxes on beer and wine? What’s up with that? Due to the alcohol content, spirits tend to be taxed more, and for some states its a whopping five times the amount of its alcohol counterparts. Washington as you can see below is the most heavily taxed at $31.48 per gallon, YIKES!
