We heard the buzz about Jim Beam Apple a few months ago, but it was kind of a let down when we found out it was being released overseas at that time. Doesn’t Europe have enough already? Can’t we have this one? Don’t worry, the good news is I wouldn’t be wasting my typing if it weren’t for a good reason. Jim Beam Apple is on its way to the US!
The bourbon brand will launch Jim Beam Apple in the U.S finally this Summer but we haven’t yet nailed down the date. We heard July originally, now we’re hearing August. My guess is August as you’re hitting that perfect stride of Summer drinking turned Fall sipping and we ALL know apple is a fall flavor classic.
It’s going to be marketed as an “apple liqueur with Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey,” according to a bottle. That’s about right on par with similar brands like Tennessee Fire & Tennessee Honey from Jack Daniels. Whiskey brands over the years have released a sh*t ton of flavored whiskies to catch them up to speed with the flavored vodka madness of the 2000’s. The good news is that means non traditional bourbon drinkers have new “starter” whiskies to try. The bad news is classic bourbon lovers think it’s ruining their favorite pastime.
Beam’s newest flavor joins now with Jim Beam Maple, Jim Beam Honey, Jim Beam Kentucky Fire, and the Red Stag lineup. As you can see, it’s like monkey see monkey do in the whiskey world with Beam, Jack, and several other brands launching every “it” flavor they can each year. I get it though, the demand is there, hell I’m waiting anxiously for it. Although I’m not a fan of some of their other expressions I’ll be looking forward to reviewing this one. We’ll keep you updated as we find out more information.
Cheers,
Alex
