…..This one’s for the rum fans. Do you consider yourself a connoisseur? Then you might want to pull in a little closer. Appleton Estate recently launched their Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Rum – Jamaica Independence Reserve, believed to be the oldest and rarest rum in the world. Several hand selected marques were set aside and aged in 1962 with the intention of one day being blended and bottled to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence. Fast forward to 2012, that day has come and several rum connoisseurs, members of the press and actor Stanley Tucci joined Appleton master blender, Joy Spence at the Lambs Club in New York to unveil it. Guests at the event were treated to a tasting of the 50 Year Old paired with delectable chocolate covered strawberries and other delicious plates from the Lambs Club kitchen throughout the night. According to Joy, it has been aged to perfection and is ready for your consumption.
Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Rum – Jamaica Independence Reserve is now available but only in extremely limited quantities. Only 70 select bottles available for purchase in the U.S. with a suggested price of $5,000 per bottle. Don’t everyone line up at once! If you’re interested in making a purchase, you can check out Appletons personal online concierge service.
