Miami’s Rum Renaissance Returns

It’s that time again, Miami’s premier rum convention returns for it’s fourth year, and promises to be it’s best yet. Miami’s Rum Renaissance takes place April 16th through the 22nd.

“The Miami Rum Renaissance Festival is one of the world’s premier international rum events, presenting a unique and exciting celebration of the fine arts of distillation, maturing and blending fine cane spirits. It takes place in the sub-tropical wonderland of Miami’s golden beaches at the world famous Deauville Beach Resort. Enjoy a full week of exclusive VIP parties at Miami’s most notable venues, a grand two-day exhibition of the best rum brands, the excitement of the Island Lifestyle Showcase, celebrity seminars, workshops and cocktail competitions, the annual RumXP competition and awards, an opportunity to rub shoulders with dignitaries and notable experts, and more.”


Highlights of the event include:

Bartenders Bash: The Miami Rum Renaissance Festival begins with the Bartender’s Bash, hosted Botran Rum with South Florida’s finest bartenders at the world-famous Broken Shaker Pop-Up Bar at the Indian Creek Hotel on Miami Beach.

Liar’s Club Pop Up Bar: From the United Kindom, the best TIki bartenders and mixologists will make special cocktails with a Tiki twist in the “Liars Club” pop-up bar from 11pm to 2:30am Tuesday through Friday evenings for a roisterous and rambunctious adventure in the Deauville Beach Resort’s famed Jazz Club.

The Grand Rum Tasting: The Grand Rum Tasting Exhibition on Saturday and Sunday will include a plethora of fine rums from the Caribbean and beyond. Sample the finest rums from each island, from each category and from each notable brand.

And if that wasn’t enough there will be competitions and VIP parties EVERYWHERE. Tickets for the Grand rum  tasting will be $40 in advance per day and $50 at the door. The many cocktail competitions, celebrity seminars, and rum exhibits are free with purchase of a grand tasting tickets.
