An Excuse to Drink: National Vodka Day 2015

So today is National Vodka Day and you KNOW we’re not one to miss a major holiday! In all fairness National Vodka day was a marketing creation to help sell more vodka, as if they needed any help, and it’s been around since 2009. I don’t argue holidays and I definitely don’t complain about alcoholidays so we’ve had the day marked on our calendars since the first year.

Even though vodka isn’t my first love, it’s one of my go to spirits. Why? It’s as versatile as it gets. When someone comes to the bar, or comes over your house and they just say “make me something good, nine times out of ten they’re gonna get a vodka based drink. It’s neutral in flavor and you just add the flavors you want to promote to it making it easy o please a novice or undecided drinker. If you’re still looking for the right vodka cocktail o just want to try something different we’ve got a slew of drink recipes below courtesy of our friends at Grey Goose, Pinnacle, and
